The crown was awarded to her Miss Columbus in 1985 after getting the crown and beating her competitors. In the wake of her win, Miss Georgia 1985 was entitled to enter her into the pageant. The tournament was also hers on June 22nd, 1985. Mohr was then invited in September 1985 to compete for Georgia at Miss America 1986, a pageant which was hosted at Atlantic City, New Jersey. Although she won the title, Mohr did not make it to the Top-10 of the national finalist list.
