She won it by kissing and beating every competitor. This victory enabled her for the Miss Georgia contest in June 1985. In June 22, she was also the winner of the competition. Mohr then went on in September of 1985, to compete for Georgia in Miss America 1986, a pageant hosted at Atlantic City, New Jersey. She was not, however an official Top 10 finalist for the national title.
