Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had many skills, such as being able to act, direct and produce plays, as well as write them as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was born to a British father and an English-Turkish Cypriot mother. As a young child, she was featured in commercials of various kinds. In the month of November, 1999 Anna moved to Toronto to advance her acting career, eventually moving into Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her husband in 2009. Anna, who had converted to Judaism in the year before Seth Cooperman and Anna had been married in December of 2010 in Fredericton.
