 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actor soon after her move to the United States. In AT&T commercials she played the character as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 through 2016 and the year 2020. The commercials she appeared in were not the only thing she appeared in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, was voiced in that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of two she emigrated together with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She was able to settle in West Hollywood. Due to the family's financial problems and her own financial struggles, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, but dropped out after her sophomore year, she was able to get a GED and went to pursue an Associate of Arts in Communication from University of California, San Diego. With the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied the art of improv comedy.
